upgraded to internet explorer 8, problems

I recently upgraded to internet explorer 8, and have some problems since.

The connection seems alot slower, some webpages wont open at all, and all the time I get the 'explorer has encountered a problem and needs to shut down' message, with the option to 'debug or close'.

Any ideas whats wrong?

I tried a friends laptop just to check my wireless and it works perfectly, he's still using internet explorer 7.
 
Try Googling your problem, theres loads of tech message boards out there. I just did IE8 Problems and theres loads of pages, maybe if you have time you could search through them and see if you can find your problem listed?
 
1st thing to do is reinstall from the microsoft website to make sure you have the latest version/build.
I downloaded IE8 a few weeks ago and it works fine for me. I generally use Firefox but I'm happy enough with IE8 to stick with it for now.
