Up to date cost of tiling bathroom

We are having the bathroom refurbished with new suite etc and new tiles.

All old tiles will be removed and plasterboard stuck to wall for retiling.

The plumber who is to do the job has provided us with a quote from a tiler he uses; this quote, for wall tiling a total of 17 sq. meters is £ 600, i.e. about £35 per square meter.

I appreciate that costs etc will be different between here in England and in Ireland, but would appreciate comments/advice.

I have looked elsewhere on the site and saw costs of about 25 euro per square yard which equates to about £17 per sq.yd, and would like any updated figures if possible please.

We are getting our bathrooms tiled at the moment and are paying 12 euro per square yard, although it averages out around Galway at 20-25 p.s.y.
