Hi all

Maybe someone could answer this for me,recently replaced front
wishbones(complete) on 00 ford mondeo bought the parts online.
Now i'm noticeing tyre wear on the outer side of both front tyres
also the steering is a bit off.
Did i fit the wrong parts, they looked exactly the same as the one's i replaced.
Is there a remedy for this

Thanks for any replies..

Re: Unusual Wear On Tyres ??

Wheels may simply need aligning - if so, cheap quick job - about €30 -€40 maybe.

Agreed, if you replace track rods, control arms, wishbones etc. on a car a full 4 wheel alignment is needed and the steering geometry is off.

Shouldn't take too long but ring around as not all places will have the equipment to do it.

And some of the places that have the super-duper computer controlled laser alignment equipment won't always have the staff trained to use it properly. Make sure you get a "before and after" print-out and compare it with your car's manual.
