Unit linked funds and tax

In 2007 I unfortunately invested in unit linked funds [Zurich Life. New Ireland] and also directly in bank shares. We all know what happened the bank shares. My unit liked funds are now in profit.

If I was to now cash in my unit linked funds is it possible to off-set the losses on shares against profits made on the funds.?

No

It's one of the big downsides of unt linked funds. You can't use other losses against them.
