Need advice urgently
In our bathroom the plumber has laid the insulated domestic service pipes for shower bath etc directly on the subfloor, "leveled " the floor with sand and put 60mm insulation over this and 25mm insulation around the walls on top of the insulation is the underfoor heating pipes. Last night I went to see the job and found that insulation was not tight into the walls 4cm gaps in places and the insulation was very uneven to walk on. After complaining this morning he wedged pieces of insulation around the walls but says the uneven floor wont matter as the 100 mm scread will hold it all down. Is he right? I'm trying to get hold of my engineer but he's not answering his phone.....Ahhh the floors are meant to be poured tomorrow
