unemployment assistance & part time work

Hi there,

I am wondering what is the story with getting unemployment assistance if your only working 10 hrs per week?
I am also studying by home study and I reciece no financial aid for that, i have to work to get money, but can't work fulltime as i wouldn't get my course done!

What can I do? Can I get assistance while working the 10 hrs, as this dos not add up to much at the end of the week!

One of the main qualifying conditions for Unemployment Benefit/Assistance is being available for and genuinely seeking work. If you have unilaterally chosen not to work because you want to concentrate on studying then you don't satisfy this condition.

part time work on UA depends on earnings and how many days a week you are working, you can work up to 3 days. You would not satisfy the available and genuinely seeking full time work condition on ua.
