Hello,
I lost my job last October and the same week found out I was pregnant. I have since set up as a sole trader but estimate very low returns for the year, so according to Revenue do not need to register for VAT as will be way (way) under the threshold.
I don't have enough PRSI stamps while working in Ireland (returned from abroad) so unlikely to be able to claim maternity benefit.
I wondered if anyone knows how it works as a sole trader being pregnant can I claim maternity benefit? How can I do this?
I read some posts that say I should pay €253 PRSI, but I will have the baby (this June) before I can fill this in at the end of the year...
