Unauthorised Development letter & Follow up

Last Year we received a UD letter from KCC.We ( Our Architect) replied formally to the CC within the set timelines. Subsequently my wife had a visit from the CC one day, they examined the work done and left (Sept/Oct). Since then we have had no communication from the CC and I'm wondering if the issue is now closed or could we hear from them in the future?

Its unusual for A CC to pursue UD action unless referred to them by a 3rd Party. One to watch perhaps. There is an file with an EN [enforcement number] on it which should have been quoted at the top of the UD letter you got from the CC. Ring up the ES [Enforcement Section] quoting the reference explaining you are the alleged perperator of the UD and requiring an update PDQ [pretty damned quick]. It unusual that the ES haven't sent you a follow up letter confirming that the UD allegation has been investigated and resolved. They should also have issued one to the person who made the allegation. You should also contact your architect and see if the letter was sent to his office, assuming he's still in business. It might have gotten lost in the industry meltdown.
