unable to burn disc using nero

Hi,

I am attempting to burn a dvd with photos and videos but after transcoding, I get a message saying "burn process failed". Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong.

The photos are put into a slideshow format; and the videos are as downloaded from digital camera (not processed further to appear as Video exported).

Have you ever been able to burn any DVD using your current setup?

Perhaps the quality of your DVD could be better ?

I bought a 'cheap' spindle of own-brand DVD+R from TESCO and had to bin them. NERO could write to them OK, but the content could not be read back (cyclical redundancy errors).

Does Nero not give any more detailed information that that? I can't see how the burn failure would be related to the actual data contents of the image to be burned.

Perhaps you could try creating an ISO image and using Burnatonce to burn it and see what happens (File -> Load New Image... -> select the ISO image file -> Write)?
