Hi,

Has anyone opened an Ulster Bank Sterling Account without heading to NI or England ?

I've read before that you can do this but I couldn't find anything on the website.

Thanks

I have but the accounts are in NI, although my own branch did all the paperwork chasing,

Watch the exchange rate offered, check and compare on Irish times or on Transfermate.com

I was just looking at the Ulster bank online application and it says

Standard Current Account - Before you apply online

About you and your application

You need to be aged 16 or over and permanently live in the UK for tax purposes. You can apply alone or with someone else.
Online we can't accept applications using a power of attorney. Please apply at your local branch.

Does this cause a problem opening an account in the North even through a bank in the Rep?
