Hi,

Has anyone opened an Ulster Bank Sterling Account without heading to NI or England ?

I've read before that you can do this but I couldn't find anything on the website.

I have but the accounts are in NI, although my own branch did all the paperwork chasing,

You need to be aged 16 or over and permanently live in the UK for tax purposes. You can apply alone or with someone else.

Does this cause a problem opening an account in the North even through a bank in the Rep?

Plenty of posters have reported opening an account in an Ulster ROI branch but the deposit based in NI without any issues.
