Ulster Bank -- Pathway Account -- Sterling

Does anybody know anything about the Ulster Bank Pathway Account for sterling deposits. Apparantly they want to make this a big deal or in fact will not pay Irish Residents the quoted deposit rates, but will happily do so if one resides the other side of the Border.

Any Comments please ???

I have this account in ROI - was in e-savings account - said I'd move funds out of the bank so got it set up. Not sure about sterling though.
