Ulster Bank CC 40euro Refund

Hi, can anyone tell me if they have received this 40 euro refund from UB on their credit card? I've spent the required 6K between April 06 & April 07, which is their requirements, but they so far passed me off everytime I ring them about it. Sorry if this has been asked before...couldn't find anything about it.

Is this to cover stamp duty? If so will it not be €30 this year given the changes in Budget 2008?

Yes, I got it last year, immediately after I spent 6,000 euro. It does need to be spent within the same calendar year, so that may explain why you didn't get it, myate. It's still 40 euro as far as I know as it's a reward fee rather than a refund of the stamp duty.

I mentioned April 06-April 07, as that was what UB told me on phone. I've spent way over 6K in the calendar year anyway so shouldn't be an issue. Yes, presume it's to cover the stamp duty, but their website says 40 euros as opposed to stamp duty refund. I'll keep onto them, thanks for help.

I do know UB have suspended the €40 bonus for 2008.
