Ulster Bank and FA merging - When will the guarantee be only one for both?

Hi guys,

we know that UB and FA are merging. So when they'll become one entity any account from the same person will be covered up to €100K (and not €100K+€100K anymore when they were 2 separate entities). Does anyone know when this will happen?:confused:

Merger is currently planned for October, FA as a brand will disappear and the FA customers will have their accounts transferred over to new accounts in UB. Exact date has not yet been announced as far as I know

Plan at the minute seems to be for the majority of branches to close with accounts and staff migrating to the nearest UB branch. Around 15 branches will be kept open and rebranded as UB branches. The branches that are closing are the ones in close proximity to existing UB branches. The FA brand will disappear
 
Thank you v. much for your answers. So we can agree that until October we can feel ok about being covered 100K+100K (2 separate institutions). Pls let me know if you disagree, I would be grateful.:confused:
