HI, I have recently discovered that my aged father had been given war bonds for a wedding present over 50 years ago. He has never cashed a dividend cheque in all that time. How can he go about cashing the bonds in or recouping the dividends after all this time.
 
Interesting article. Hadn't realised that these were still outstanding.
 
are you saying, that in 50 years, despite a cheque being sent out, it was never cashed? If that is in fact the case, contact Bank of England, sending a copy of the bond, that they can investigate and send your father, his just entitlements.
