uk to buy car payment

Hi all

another UK buying question this time about paying!!

I picked up somewhere that rather than get a sterling bank draft in Ireland (bad rates and comission) you could go into an English bank over there and buy a draft using your credit card, you get a better rate and no comission!!

It apparently it is a cheaper option!! Is this true?? Anyone any info or has done this

1. Your irish bank,
2. a uk bank
3. currency.ie
and find out who is cheaper
The bank will probably give you a worse rate seeing as you are in uk needing sterling
