I think I read somewhere that you had to be allocated an NI number before 2010 in order to qualify for the 3 extra years. Seems crazy that you could benefit from this when you weren't even living in the UK at the time. I am not complaining though. It was a very pleasant to discover that I had 6 years contributions not 3!We all get that!
Ditto! Hard to believe that we may qualify for a payment from the UK government that requires a fraction of the contribution cost of a teacher's "gold plated" pension in Ireland.Exactly what I thought. I was busy at school in Dublin while contributing to a pension in the uk
