Uk Stand alone Mortgage

can any of you nice folk direct me as to the best way to get a stand alone mortgage in the Uk, other than releasing the deposit from the equity in my own house id rather not touch the bricks and mortar on this side as collatoral ?
any advice greatly welcomed

Are there lenders over here who will do a 100% mortgage in the UK interest only secured on your own home (€400k equity)?

so the best way is to do an equity release?

Bank of Ireland own Bristol and West BS amd they can arrange a UK mortgage - gnerally 70-75% ltv
