Uk short break

Anyone reccomend a nice city or part of UK to visit for about four days on a short break. Must be somewhat near to an airport. Have done the usual places, London, Edinburgh, York, Liverpool, Manchester.

Bath in Avon is Fab! Nearest airport would be Bristol there is frequent transport which run into Bath from Bristol. It's about 30mins away from the city.

How about the Lake District? Aer Arann fly into Blackpool which is about 40 miles away. You can get trains, but would be better off hiring a car to travel around windermere and all the other areas. Beautiful spot and lots too see and do.

Another option could be Aer Arann to the Isle of Man.

Try Devon or Cornwall, you can fly into Exeter from Dublin and hire a car, lovely part of the world

Kent is lovely. Very nice countryside. Hever Castle (Anne Boleyn) Chistlehirst war caves. Near Gatwick.

Fly to Glasgow (not Prestwick), rent a car and drive North West to the Highlands - Loch Lomond and beyond .. some lovely country within an hour's drive and loads more further up the road
