can we prepare our own end of year rental income accounts for the inland revenue without going to the expense of paying an accountant, if yes, could you give me some advice on how to do this.

As in Ireland England have a self assessment system in place therefore you can do up a return without the expense pf an accountant. However, the inland revenue a more strict with deadlines. go to inland revenue website and you can get info there.

As AAM is an Irish based website you may not get too much advice here about English/UK Inland revenue.

Perhaps you might have more help on the singingpig website. I'm not sure how good it is, but it might be worth a look.
