UK politician jailed for false expense claims

Not likely when the legislators are the same people who are robbing the country blind! Well done judges of Ireland, take a bow.
 
I would be absolutely dumbstruck if even one single solitary crooked thieving TD were ever even charged, let alone bought to court, tried, convicted or punished.
 
David Chaytor used false invoices to claim expenses, which is exactly what Ivor Callelly did. Chaytor gets 18 months in jail, Callelly gets suspended from the Senate for a few weeks.
 
I think Chaytor paid back money as well.

but is the Seanad on its last legs and we can thank ivor for that...
