The largest land banking operation in the UK is to be closed down by the UK Financial Services Authority. It is unlikely that the investors will get any of their money back as it has all gone on commissions and payments to directors. Thanks to the Guardian

The FSA released a statement last year to guide people considering such investments, you'll find it [broken link removed].

There is also an [broken link removed] on our own site about it as there are still a number of land banking companies very active in Ireland.

I was approached re a land banking scheme some months ago. Very persuasive and professional. Brochures, dvd demo, website dublin office address and stand at trade show in Cork. I had 2 or 3 conversations with seller until I went researching for real. I presume I can't post the name of the gentleman or the company on the forum but the website and I assume company still unfortunately very much up and running. Beware.
