UK Investment Fund

I have searched the threads for a similar query but have not been successful, so here goes..

In 2007 I invested a lump sum in a UK investment fund. I am in the process of completing my 2007 tax return but am not sure what exactly I need to declare. This is an offshore investment for a 5 year term. What if any is my tax liability at this point as I have not yet disposed of the investment? Am I required to only declare the value of the investment at this point to Revenue, where on Form 12 do I do this?

Many thanks.

Ok have you received any interest or income etc... from the Uk investment fund? I mean regardless of whether you have taken it out of the account or anything like that. If you have then it should be returned on your Form 12, on page 7 I think.

It really depends on the fund you invested in as to how it is taxed.

The fund is a direct investment in Alliance Boots. I have received no income or interest on the fund to date.
