I have booked a flight Dublin to Cardiff return for 3 people. UK govt levied a tax of GBP30 on this flight. Aer Arann in the flight booking details (breakdown of tax and charges) have charged me E45.12.
This equates to exchange rate of GBP1=E1.504
On the day of booking the exchange rate was GBP1=E1.23 approx.
I reckon I should have been charged approx E36.90.
By my calculations I was overcharged E8.22
Our my assumptions/calculations correct? Any thoughts anyone?
