I went to the UCI in Tallaght with my children, I got there just as the movie was about to begin. I bought 3 standard tickets and was offered did I want premium tickets which I said no thanks.(the chipmonks 2)
In total there was only 14 people in the cinema to see this movie.

Now the beef I have is why ask us to buy premium seats when they must have known that there was very little people inside and none had purchased premium tickets, thus really meaning you could seat anywhere as cinema nearly empty.
I know you can't just sit on premium seat's as you paid for standard seats but as a regular movie goer I feel if these are not sold due to small number's at the movie then what is the harm in seating on these seats,

Now the guy who checked our tickets said we can sit anywhere as very few inside to watch the movie. So we got to sit in premium anyway at no extra cost but could have paid when there was no need to as we where told we can sit anywhere,

Re: UCI Premium why offer

Very simple I would have thought? Cinema sells premium seats because they are bigger and more comfortable, cinema wants to maximize profit! Sales assistants have to try to sell premium seats even if they know cinema is empty. Now, if inside nobody is there to see where you sit then IMO there is no harm sitting in the premium seats.
