Two conflicting responses received from HMRC to CF83 form ?

I received two responses to my CF83 form, sent to me by HMRC 5 days apart.

The first response is what I believe to be correct - allowing me to pay Class 2 contributions for the 18 years since I left the UK (this letter did include three random years at 53 weeks rather than 52 weeks, I assume this is an admin error but is not a big issue given the £3.15 per week Class 2 cost).

The second response is incorrect (I believe), allocating the first 10 years after I left the UK as Class 3, then the last 8 years at Class 2.

I've have been employed in Ireland at all times for the 18 years. The 10 year mark did coincide with a change of employment in Ireland.

Should I go with the first response and ignore the second, or query the second response? If so, how best to query this?

Any advise appreciated.

Go with the first response.

If ever queried you never got the second letter.

OK thanks. The second letter did not show 53 weeks for the the same years (or any years), hence I though it was incorrect.
