TVs in Europe

Hi all

I'm living in Denmark and am considering buying a tv in England and having it sent on by post. Huge savings to be made due to the exchange rate and it's generally much cheaper there anyway.

Question is, will it work? Have heard there can be problems with the tuner...

Hi,

If Denmark uses the Pal broadcast system it should be fine. Most UK TV's either have a UHF analogue tuner and a DVB Digital tuner. If you are using the TV with a cable or satellite decoder box this will be not be an issue.

Nicam stereo is used for sound transmission but I do know in Panasonic TV's you can change this in the manual tuning menu.
