TV recommendation

Anyone recommend a good flat screen LCD type TV . Thinking around 28-32" or thereabouts. Room is only 12' x 12' so bigger would be too much I think & would be standing on a corner unit, not wall mounted. Will prob be waiting for offers in the post xmas sales. Ideas anyone?

When I'm buying some hi-fi equipment I generally buy what hi-fi magazine. Their recommendations are generally very good.
 
Take a look at the ambilight models from Philips. I was looking at one in DID recently, and it looked very pleasing on the eye ... lights in the BACK of the tv illuminate the surrounding wall ... I haven't got one, so I couldn't comment on whether its useful long term, or just a gimmick!
