TV issue picture just keeps rolling

The tv picture seems to roll, cant watch at all, is there anything I could try

Have a look around the back, there may be a little knob marked 'v.hold'
or 'vertical hold'.
If you've got one, give it a little adjustment.

I haven't seen vertical hold on a telly since the 70's.Looks like a trip to the repair man me thinks.

There may be a potentiometer or something similar inside that performs the same function as the old vertical hold knob. But you should not mess with anything if you don't know what you're doing especially since you'd need the TV plugged in, switched on and the casing off to do this.
