Tv help with contract

I have a query. I have a entaintainment package in my apartment. When i moved in i could only get this on. No others where available. I got six months free once i sign up 4 another year after that. The service is poor. Remote loses connection. Sytem freezes once twice a nite. Complained a few time but not really getting any where. Being told to unplug it switch if of and on etc. I want to switch of it due to the fact i am unhapi with the service. I have being told that i will have to pay the rest of my contract. I am unhapi as i am not geting a good service. Any suggestion?. Could just switch service (which is available now) and ignore bills?

ask the consumer people consumerconnect.ie. I am not sure if the contract would be enforceable if the service is that bad as i presume you signed up to a reasonable service. This is not legal advice.
