I have an ordinary TV (widescreen 4 /5 years old nothing flash, a dvd/vhs recorder ( few months old but not HDD etc..)and an ntl box. I have 25 million cables coming out and going in and many going nowhere... 
At the risk of appearing to be the worlds greatest techno phobe is there any one out there who provides a service of hooking electronic bits n bobs together..like the companies who will assemble flat pack furniture.
Everything works but not necessarily the most efficient way I know there are cables connected from one device to the same device without having gone anywhere else in the interim. I have a camcorder thats too frightened to come out of its box in case I try to connect it via another 2 million cables to something .
Honestly I can assemble flat pack furniture and to a degree my pc and its add ons but the Tv has me beat. The easy to get going guide appears to be in engish but really its in swahili(well it would make just as much sense if it was).
