Hi

I don't have cable TV just the irish stations using a cheapo aerial from the pound store hence reception can be quite dodgey !

Have seen in argos they have amplified aerials for around 30 euro that claim to really boost the reception....anyone used one of these ?

are they any use ?

thanks

They are better than your coathanger solution but in my experience very fiddly - you have to adjust the aerial's height and position for optimum viewing; only problem is that what is optimal for one channel may be less so for another one.

It will be no substitute for an aerial on the roof or of course for cable TV.

Mind you, the price is right. :)
