I am thinking of arranging a lads golf trip to Tulfarris. Wondering if anyone has any comments on the idea in terms of the hotel, golf course and other facilities? Are there any other golf courses in the immediate vicinity that would be worth visiting also? What is the liveliest/nearest town for a bit of socialising in the evening?

Hey,

Tulfarris golf course is lovely, the hotel is re-opening on the 24th of this month (tomorrow) it has nicly been done up too and looking lovely.

Nearest town is Blessington, there quite a number of pubs in the town plus you can get taxi back to the hotel, its only about 10 min down the road or else you can get a taxi to naas co kildare and go to the one in a million pubs in the town or too a night club, Time night club is a great club in Naas.

I'm from Blessington re i know about the above

It's about 1hr to 1.5hrs drive to Tulfarris from Dublin Airport, obviously depending on the traffic. Great course by the way. On the way from Dublin Airport to Blessington you'll pass South County Golf course - very nice too and only 10mins from Blessington. Try registering on teetimes.ie before you travel, as you may get discounted rounds for either course.I'd go with the advise from Elainee40 and stay in Naas - More nightlife there.

Hi there
Thanks for your enquiry regarding Tulfarris - as some of the other replies have mentioned, Tulfarris has been completely refurbished, following a €30 million euro investment, and is in immaculate condition. If you would like to reserve green fees and overnight accommodation, please contact me directly and I can check availability and rates for your group. Thanks again.

Thanks for replies. Apart from South County, which looks good, what are the nearest (best) golf courses to Tulfarris itself? Any lively pubs in Blessington? Is it a bit far to Naas - how much by taxi roughly? Thanks for feedback.

Nass to belssington about 15 mins - not sure how much a taxi is though.

If you stay in Naas you would also be close to the PGA course Palmerston House which is young but worth playing.

A few pubs in Belssington but Naas would be a lot busier
