Tucson fuel pump

We were told this is leaking at recent service and will cost 730 euro plus vat to fix.Another diesel garage said they would repair it for 300 plus vat and 12 month guarantee.Has anyone any experience re this model/problem?Is it ok to repair ratherthan replace?

One of the common reasons given for leaks in the high pressure pumps on diesel engines was "smuggled" fuel containing nitric acid (used with u/v light for removing dye) which eats through rubber / nylon seals.

If the repairer is a specialist diesel fitter, that sounds like good value.
