Trying to sell my car on Done Deal

Sometimes it just takes quite a while to land a buyer , I always used Done Deal but people I know who sell cars tell me cars Ireland is better than carzone?

Also look at Merlin auctions.

Takes all the hassle out of it, but it will be at a lower price.

But not crazy low. I got 13k net for a car that might have got 14.5-15k on done deal.

Thanks Cameo. I think it is cheaper now versus lots of the same spec car

I think the prices on many of the Irish secondhand car sites are far above what people are paying.

I sold a car a couple of years ago. I priced it at €11k because that’s what others were listed for and mine was cleaner, high spec. Like you I got very few enquiries so started reducing it €500 every few weeks. Only really started to get a decent number of enquiries once it hit €7.5k.

The numbers don’t matter of course, the point is the asking prices are a bit nuts on these sites, so maybe ask yourself what you would pay somebody else for your car and see if there’s a big discrepancy. In my case I knew €11k was crazy money, but figured maybe that’s what people were paying these days - nope!
