Trying to fill a form electronically

Hi,
Can someone help me please!! I have downloaded a form from a web site which I need to complete. I thought I would be able to complete the form by saving it into Word and then typing away to beat the band! No luck.Then I scanned the document- saved it to Word and tried again. The only way I seem to be able to get text on to the appropriate place on the page is to use the Text Box facility-this is a pain-as the box never lines up correctly with the lines on the document-am I stupid ? Is there a simple way to complete a form electronically which I am missing? thanks.

does the site not give details on how to fill in and submit? or if not maybe you need to print out and fill in manually and stick in the post...there are all sorts of interpretations of electronic forms, most of them wrong.
