TRS refund on Mortgage

I didn't claim any TRS on my mortgage for about 18 months and only applied for it back in February of this year. It is now being applied to my mortgage payments on a monthly basis but how is the refund paid to me i.e. the tax paid over the past 18months ? Is this sent as a cheque to me from Revenue or does my mortgage company repay it to me ? Whichever way it seems to be taking a long time

Afaik, this year's payment will be sent to your mortgage provider and they will deduct the amount due over say 7 months if paid in May (Mortgage repayment is reduced). Expect to pay more next year as the TRS will be deducted over 12 months instead of 7. The previous years should be sent by cheque direct to you.
Normally these things take about six weeks. Make contact with the TRS section of revenue.
