My hubby and I purchased a house last year in August. Between August and December we paid approx €7k (don't have the exact figure to hand) in interest and we only registered for TRS in Jan 2008. Recently I submitted the TRS1P for refund of TRS for 2007.
My hubby and I are taxed individually as at the moment it is of no benefit to us to be taxed jointly.
Today we received 2 payments of €719.58 into our account. I thought maybe the reason 2 payments went in is because we are taxed individually? But I just wanted to check if someone would have a rough idea of the total refund due just in case they have paid twice in error. We currently get €238.34 per month in TRS.
I could quite easily spend some of this tomorrow so I don't want to wait until Monday to find out if it's definitely mine!
Any help appreciated.
