TRS - how much documentation required

Hi,

I got some work done on the house a while ago (family home), paid for it via top-up mortgage and never applied for TRS at the time. I do have TRS setup on the main mortgage.

I am wondering if I can apply retrospectively for TRS on the top-up mortgage and what level of paperwork is required to submit with the application?

Is the existence of the top-up mortgage itself (obviously I have the account number etc) enough or would I have to show documents outlining what work was done along with receipts etc?

I no longer have contact with the builder as we had a bit of a falling out towards the end of the job so I don't particulalry want to go back and ask him for paperwork and I don't think I have much from the time.

What do revenue ask for?

Thanks

No documentation is required although I think Revenue reserve the right to ask for it if they want. You can apply for TRS online [broken link removed].

You can also contact your lender and ask them to send out the relevant form to you.
