TRS- How early can you apply?

Hi

Just signed our contracts for the house. Mortgage has not been drawn down yet but closing date is set for 17th Oct.

Whats the earliest we can send in our TRS forms? Does the mortgage have to be drawn down before you send it in?

How long does it take to process (will we get it in time for our first repayment date? and if not will they back date it)

Once you receive a mortgage account number you can apply for TRS. It dosesnt always kick in on your first payment, it depends how quick you bank confirms to revenue the mortgage account.
 
I was waiting 2-3 months for my TRS, but was all refunded at that stage.
 
From my experience and that of friends of mine applying online has a quick turn around
 
Our mortgage provider gave us the form for TRS weeks before the mortgage was drawn down, and we filled it in and returned it immediately. The very first mortgage payment we made, the TRS was paid into our account the same day. I would apply for it immediately, if I were you.
