We received notification from Halifax yesterday that our TRS is being cut from 180.00pm to 100pm. I rang revenue to find out what changed in our circumstances.
It appears we bought our house in March 2001 and made our first morgage payment 08.04.01 and this counts as one full years of TRS as the tax year ran april to april back then. We then only got 8 months TRS in our 2nd year as the tax year changed in 2002 to Jan - Dec. So out of 2 years TRS we only received 9 months relief out of a possible 24???.
Is there anyone i can take this up with???? TRS section not v helpful.
