However, every time my PC boots and i logon (Win XP) Norton AV cathches it again and deletes it so generally no harm done. Anyone any experience of this and how to get rid of it permanently. Thanks

B burkemg Registered User Messages 123 11 Jan 2006 #3 Thanks tried that already. after I updated my Anti virus to the latest version. I switched off system restore, booted to safe mode and ran the full scan. I also restarted, made the registry changes recommended and did a full scan. Still, every time I logon I get the message that Norton has found and deleted the trojan.Zlob.G. A persistent fiend.

Don't forget to turn System Restore back on after you reboot one or two times without recurrence of the issue, its a handy little utililty sometimes when other things go wrong.
