I'm totally ticked off with RTE's scheduling. Just as we (as a family) were setttling in to watch one of the few programmes we all agree on - it\s gone! two episodes and pwwt! end! What the heck are they up to in there???

Presumably its been impacted by the Writers strike in the US... over there even the Conon O'Brien and Jay Leno shows were hit for a few weeks... 12,000 writers on strike... maybe it's unrelated... but I would'nt bet on it. Don't get too sucked into Desperate Housewives either, as soon as it hits episode 10 this series... that's it.

Many tv series in the US have breaks of a week or more for varying reasons. House is one example, it had a scheduled break for several weeks last year in the middle of the series.

But the writer's strike has impacted a lot of programming where only a few episodes of a series were written beforehand, like Desperate Housewives and Lost. Apparently it's reality tv galore in the US at the moment - the unscriped ones anyway!
