I went to the dentist recently for a cleaning/de-scaling and a filling(he said it looked a bit dodgy, so he re-filled the molar) and for the two visits (1HR total) he charged me 215Euros. Is this a wee bit excessive or am I being a bit tight in handing over the money? Are dentists being levied like most of us?

Dentists will be levied no differently to anyone earning sufficient to be over the threshold. Dental costs in Ireland are expensive. Lots of threads on this. My wife paid €95 for a filling and €85 for a general clean/scale recently.

Yes I think it is expensive....I had similar stuff done recently (dublin) and it was about €150
