Nationwide UK target & "attack" Irish bank deposits

Nationwide Building Society, Britain's largest building society, is plotting a four-pronged attack to lure deposits from Dublin rivals.

It also plans to launch a new regular savings product for individual savers and will then seek to attract deposits from corporate savers for the first time.

Nationwide UK are expanding their range of savings products here including their first Irish regular saver account. This is good news for Irish savers that Nationwide UK are to get more aggressive in the savings market. The rate is likely to be highly competitive.

Competition has been lacking in the regular saver products lately, this a welcome addition.
