Hi,

I'm travelling to New York later this year with my husband and a couple of friends. My husband has an American passport while the rest of us have Irish passports. Is it possible to avoid going through immigration and queuing etc. by travelling with him???

If you travel via Shannon, you can do your immigration there so that means you don't have to do it on your arrival.

Thats also the case flying through Dublin. Otherwise you may be able to go through the same channel as you husband but I'd say your friends would have to queue up in the Non-US channel.

You will have to clear in Ireland....then you sail through in New York. Have done it several times.
