Travelling from Galway -Dublin

Has anyone gone on this journey since the Moate bypass was opened ?

What was your travel time ? How long did the Athlone-Dublin stint take ?
 
Did it last evening -- Liffey Valley to Athlone 50 minutes.
 
all of these sound a vast improvement. I did it the friday before it opened by Citylink bus (which doesn't taken bypass but goes old route) from Edan Quay. Took 3 o'clock bus and got to roundabout just before Moate at 4.45. Got to the far side of Moate at around 6 (yes at least 1 hour 15 to go this short distence) - is this a record?. hopefully there will be an improvement next time I travel this direction!!!!!
 
THIRTY MINUTES.

I flew from Galway to Dublin 2 weeks ago and it took a half hour. Mind you, I was in Galway Airport an hour before departure and it took me an hour to get from Dublin Airport into the city cenrte.

It's quicker by car.

Excellent, that's at least 40 mins off the journey. Would be nice to see a road to Sligo from Athlone of the same standard. Then again, I wouldn't hold my breath for that one.
