Can anyone tell me what is required for Maritius? Travelling there for honeymoon. Does anyone know the cost? I think it is working out around €300 for a couple.
Have a look at the tropical medical bureau web site. Got my vaccines there, handy for center of town and open late. I was also able to claim €50 of it from VHI.
You might be better to go to your local GP for them, the TMP is pricy. I had a Hep B booster recently, and it cost me 45 for the doctor (got something else checked at the same time), and 20 for the vaccine, when TMP charges 55 and 47.50 for these. For my full dose for my honeymoon -
Hep A, Tetanus/Diphtheria/Polio, Typhoid and I think something else - it was about 100 - 120 with my local GP.
I agree, the GP is cheaper I got Hepititis A/Typhoid & Diptheria/Tetanus for €90 (2 years ago). Those will probably be sufficient for Mauritius; I don't think that Malaria is an issue there
Here's what the CDC (Center for Disease Control) has to say about vaccinations and general health requirements for East Africa and Maritius. It's enough to put you off your holiday.
