Hi,
I'm due to travel to Kuala Lumpur in October for a week or so with work (business class - the onyl way to travel!). Anyone got any recommendations on which airline to use or are they all much the same? I have heard that the Far East arilines can be more friendly and have more perks?

Also, any tips on Kuala Lumpur itself (places to see/avoid etc) would be welcome. Finally, someone said that you can get get tailored suits in places like Malaysia for a fraction of the cost here - is this true?

Cheers,
Brian

your best bet for KL is probably Malaysia Airlines, gets a 5 star ranking from skytrax

Yes, suits are much cheaper in the far east, if you go to a reputable place you can select the material you want and they will make it for you in a couple of days. Do this at the start of your trip as you will have to return for 1 or 2 'fittings' before the suit is ready.

Malaysian Airlines is the way to go.

On average the exchange rate of M$ to € is 4:1..
It is well worth visiting a tailor and getting suits and shirts custom-made. Rule of thumb... ALWAYS haggle! 99.9% of the time it will pay off. Even if the price doesn't budge, you're still getting excellent value for the goods!

I''m loyal to Singapore Airlines. I don't think any airlines comes close to it's service and efficiency.

But you have to transit via Singapore though to KL. Well, spend 2 days in Singapore on your way.

KLM fly there regularly from Amsterdam if you want that option.

I personally found KLM a hot and smelly dump. The Petronas towers are worth a look but visitors can only get to the bridge one third of the way up.
I think they were the tallest buildings in the world at one time.
