Travel Insurance year long trip

My friend is going on a year long trip around the world including the US, will be doing activities like skiing. Does anyone know of any travel insurance that wll cover him for a year that he could extend if needs be and would also cover him for 'dangerous' sports?

Hi there,

I had a yearly travel insurance policy last year and was told it would cover for 1 weeks skiing but we had to arrange separate cover for our second week skiing.

I think that most 'dangerous' sports e.g. skydiving, bungee jumping etc are not covered under most travel policies, but I'm open to correction on this.
